Free Community Concerts in a Beautiful setting

A family tradition in Lake Placid is to enjoy world class musicians and breathtaking views at the same time!  All concerts are scheduled for 7 PM, Wednesday evenings in Mid's Park in downtown Lake Placid.   If the concert is moved to the rainsite (St. Agnes Church) start time will be 7:15.   Bring a blanket or lawn chair and get ready to enjoy one of the lovliest settings in the Adirondacks! 

Summer 2018 Park Series concerts will start on July 4, and continue on Wednesday evenings, July 11, 18, 25, and August  1 and 8:   Programs will be posted soon!

July 8 Champlain National Bank Lights up the Sky on the 4th of July!
This concert will include John Williams’ “Music from Lincoln,” an Elegy for 2 Trumpets and Strings featuring Ron Spigelman on trumpet and a Salute to legendary musical composer Cole Porter.

July 11 Going Coastal
Ron Spigleman has his mind on the beach as he presents “Music from La La Land” by Hurwitz and Zimmer’s “Honor” from Pacific

July 18 Oh the Drama!
Television has produced iconic theme music in the last few years. This concert will feature themes from House of Cards, Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones.

July 24 The Journey
Giacchino’s theme from Star Trek – Into Darkness and Elfman’s music from Alice in Wonderland will transport you to a world away

July 31 Passing the Torch
Ron Spigelman presents works that are light years apart but created at the same time. “Claire de Lune,” “West Side Story,” “The Mikado,” and Copland’s “Simple Gifts” are some of the works he explores.

August 1 Ron’s Faves
Music Director Ron Spigelman has decided to let this concert be a surprise, even to the musicians! The audience will be asked for a show of hands to determine each selection. Let your voice be heard!
