July 27 Children's Concert 10:30 AM at the LPCA Sponsored by
Stewart's Shops and the LPCA
's Mirror Lk. Inn Young and Fun Series. The classic tale of Peter and the Wolf and music to move to. Narrator will be Bob Pettee from Pendragon Theatre.
In the event of poor weather the concerts scheduled in Mid's Park will be moved to St. Agnes Church on Saranac Ave. in Lake Placid.

Limited seating is available at the Paul White Memorial shell in Mid's park, patrons are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Boaters are encouraged to row close to shore and listen! Children are welcome, and will be invited to "march around the bandshell" during the last piece in each concert.

Funding for these free community concerts comes from individual membership donations, business donations, the Village of Lake Placid, the Town of North Elba, the Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks, and the New York State Council on the Arts. While this support is greatly appreciated, it does not cover the cost of presenting these concerts to the community, Donations to support the orchestra are always welcome and Pops in the Park audience members are encouraged to take part in the nightly raffle which will features an assortment of prizes (drawing before the children's march). |
