Belated Happy Summer….concert tonight!!!!!
We are already in week 3 of our Summer Season, tonight it’s Broadway Bound! Some of world’s most popular musicals such as JC Superstar, Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music and more are on the docket, and after 2 weeks of Wednesday rain it looks like we will finally be outside! I had quite a journey to get here, and there is a new ice cream in town that you have to try….. Continued…

Where can you find our musicians part 1….and my favorite dish?
The Summer is flying by, tonight’s concert is going to be fun, Berlioz, Copland, Mozart, Respighi…our poor Flutist Anne Harrow broke her ankle on Giant Mountain had to have surgery but talk about an Ironman (Ironwoman!) she is back to play TONIGHT, although we have moved her solo to next week. Some of our musicians have been sharing there favorite places to eat and things to do up here, I will reveal my favorite dish so far….many more to of try of course! Links included…. Continued…

In week 3 and the upside to a rainout is that our wednesday rain location is St Agnes and the acoustics are magnificent! The orchestra is performing like a well oiled machine, tonight we are at the Wild Center Tupper Lake Call 518.379.7800 for tickets (kids 4-14 are free), tomorrow at 5pm I give a talk with Bassoonist David Van Hoesen at 511 Gallery on Main Street and then on Sunday is our next Symphony Series concert, details to come! I am working on an article about what the musicians get up to around here so look for that next week…below some pics with my son Noah!…. Continued…

Week 2 Begins!
So after a whirlwind 1st week, with big audiences and great performances, week 2 begins with 2 performances today! This morning a fun children’s concert 10:30am at the LPCA – interaction required! In April, the Lake Placid Sinfonietta’s Education Committee is pleased to again bring a quintet of students from the Eastman School of Music to the Lake Placid area schools. “Arabesque Winds” , an award winning ensemble will return to Lake Placid on April 22 and 23.
