About the Lake Placid Sinfonietta

The Lake Placid Sinfonietta is a summer chamber orchestra whose musicians come from larger orchestras and university faculties throughout the country. From it's inception in 1917 to the present day, it has provided excellence in classical performance to the heart of the Adirdonacks.  

Volunteer for the Sinfonietta Guild

One of the best ways to get involved in the Lake Placid Sinfonietta is to be come a part of the Sinfonietta Guild, the support organization that assists with concert production and fundraising activities. Get to know the music and the musicians and the supportive community of people that keep it all going.

The Lake Placid Sinfonietta is located at PO Box 1303, Lake Placid, NY 12946 with an office at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Activities of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Inc. are made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. The Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Inc. also receives public support from the Arts Council of the Northern Adirondacks, the Town of North Elba, and the Village of Lake Placid. A current financial statement is available on request.
